Tales From The East

Occasion Wear

A statement occasion wear piece influenced by the impressions from my very first trip to the Far East and the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Shanghai. The fastening detail takes inspiration from traditional decorative knotting, a technique dating back as far as 480 BCE. The jacket has a contemporary, slim, cropped fit and is cut from a cloth which has the appearance of the fine silks woven in the eastern province of Shandong. Contrasting lapels and pockets add to the elevated and formal look of the garment.
